Ten Movies Severus Snape Likes (some of these he must be watching in the afterlife ;-)):
1)
2) The Wizard of Oz
3) The Village
4) Doctor Zhivago
5) The Godfather (why do all men like this movie?!?!)
6) Schindler’s List
7) The Illusionist
8) Cat on a Hot Tin Roof
9) Close Encounters of the Third Kind
10) Cool Hand Luke
Severus Snape’s Ten Favourite Foods:
1) Sticky toffee pudding
2) Poached eggs on toast with the yokes of medium consistency – not too soft, nor too hard. Toast should be crisp and nearly cold.
3) Treacle tarts
4) Tea – black (odd considering the sweet tooth, and yes, I know this is a beverage – deal with it)
5) Chocolate frogs
6) Proper fish and chips
7) Marzipan
8) Turkish Delight
9) Yorkshire Pudding (again, it really has to be done right or forget it)
10) Malt whiskey (beverage again, if you could deal with the tea, then you should be able to deal with this)
Severus Snape’s Favourite Kinds of Weather:
1) The fog
2) Rainy nights (if there is the rumble of distant thunder, then even better)
3) Sparkling winter days
4) Crisp autumn afternoons
5) Snowy days – the kind where big, fat flakes float slowly down like down. These were only experienced at Hogwarts.
6) Cool and starry summer nights
7) The still before a storm
8) The fresh clean smell after the rain
9) The first days of Spring when the snow is just starting to melt back and brave little daffodils are starting to poke their noses through the sod.
10) Golden harvest evenings.
Ten Brilliant Gifts Severus Snape Received:
1) A new red sled from Father Christmas when he was a boy.
2) A first kiss from Lily.
3) His mother’s copy of “Advanced Potions”
4) A shoulder to cry on whenever it was needed – this from Regulus Black.
5) A bottle of very good wine from Minerva McGonagall his first week of teaching. They shared it over conversation.
6) Tears Luna Lovegood once shed for him in his year as headmaster.
7) Green eyes looking into his at the moment of his death.
8) A light in the darkness.
9) Hope when he thought all hope was lost.
10) A second chance.
Ten things that stand out to Severus Snape about his Childhood and Youth:
1) Other children had things he did not.
2) He knew things and could do things that other children could not.
3) His mother (Len) was a severely unhappy woman.
4) His father (Toby or Da) was a severely unhappy man.
5) He knew as a wee child to not do magic in front of Len (and had scars to remind him if he forgot).
6) He knew as an older child not to do magic in front of his Da (and had scars to remind him if he forgot).
7) He was a disappointment to both parents.
8) If he had been around more after Toby died, instead of at Death Eater meetings with Malfoy, perhaps he could have stopped Len from slitting her wrists one night in the bath.
9) Lily was a light that shone too bright and hot, and he should have known better than to ever think that something like that was for him.
10) Hogwarts ended up being as much of a bloody disappointment as his home was.
Five things Severus Snape Loved about Teaching and Five Things He Didn’t:
