Well, my father-in-law is finally out of the hospital, and is recovering nicely at home. They stuck with a diagnoses of bacterial pneumonia, even though they could find very little fluid in his lungs. I have been sick with the same virus (we both caught it the same night at a birthday party at a Mexican Restaurant here in San Antonio, TX), and it is a tenacious and virulent little bug, to be sure. Please keep me in your prayers, as this bug seems to keep mutating between cold symptoms, to flu symptoms and back again, and just when I think I've got it beat it comes back with a vengeance.
We are all on swine flu alert down here in Texas too, so it is a wee bit nerve wracking (see here, if you haven't heard about this particularly nasty little bug). I haven't been sick in over a year and a half, and so this is really getting me down, and I really don't want to have to go to the hospital if I don't have to.
All this being said, I just thought I would let you know that chapters of "Solace" may very well continue to be slow in coming over the next couple of weeks. I do apologize for that.
